Greater Kansas City has historically been a very giving community. At Komen Greater Kansas City, we are well aware of your generosity.

Remember, while at least 25 percent of the net funds raised locally goes to our national grant program, up to 75 percent stays in our community for education, screening and support services, such as providing free mammography for underinsured or uninsured women and education programs for at-risk communities. When you give to Komen, you don't just give money, you give hope. As you know, breast cancer knows no season. Each year the need for additional funds grows. While great strides are being made, more research must be funded and more support services are needed in our community. Komen is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and your financial donations are tax deductible.  Our Tax ID number is 75-2844634.

General Online Donations

General donations can be made on online with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express).  All transactions conducted on our online giving vendor's Web site, Active Giving, are encrypted using a secure server to protect your privacy.

Mailed Donation

Checks should be made out to Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater Kansas City and mailed to the Greater Kansas City Affiliate at P.O. Box 413247, Kansas City, MO 64141-3247.  Please make sure to note if the donation is a memorial or honorarium.  If this is the case, list the person’s name and address that you would like to receive a donation acknowledgement card along with the person’s name that is to be recognized.

Memorial, Honorarium or Special Occasion Recognition Donation

Donations are a touching and lasting way to recognize a loved one or friend in name of a special occasion or date. Pay tribute to a loved one by making a lasting gift in their memory or make a gift in homor of a marriage, birthday or cancer-free anniversary.

Planned Giving

One way that you can become a partner in our promise to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease is by including Komen Greater Kansas City Affiliate in your estate planning.  You can name the Affiliate as a beneficiary of your will in one of several ways – by identifying a specific gift, a percentage of your total estate or naming the organization as a remainder beneficiary.  You can also name the Affiliate as owner and/or beneficiary or partial beneficiary of a life insurance policy.  Consult with your estate or tax advisor on how making a planned gift to the Greater Kansas City Affiliate may provide a tax advantage to you and your heirs.
