41 Action News

Komen Kansas City is proud to partner with 41 Action News to educate our community about the importance of early detection in finding breast cancer. In summer 2011, 41 Action News Weekend Anchor and Health Reporter Cynthia Newsome was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her co-workers rallied around her and even formed "Team Cynthia Newsome" for Susan G. Komen Kansas City Race for the Cure. Through events like a KSHB employee bake sale and viewers hosted garage sale, Team Cynthia Newsome raised over $4,100 in the past two years for the cause. But the best news is Cynthia has returned to her post at 41 Action News cancer free!

Tune into 41 Action News throughout the year for survivor stories, to learn more about the impact our grantees are making, and how you can get involved.
