When you register for the Race you automatically receive your own fundraising web site (your customized Participant Center). Teams receive an additional Team fundraising page. Your Team page is a website that friends and family can visit to find a team member or give a donation that supports the fundraising efforts of the entire team. Personalize your Race fundraising website. Use it to tell friends and family why you participate in the Race for the Cure. You can even accept donations online, right from your fundraising website. To make your page more dynamic, upload a link to a video clip or activate the blog feature. All of this and more is waiting for your Team once you register for the Race! Team fundraising for the Race is easy with online tools!
Team Captains have the ability to customize the Team website with a team photo and story ... teams that personalize their pages typically raise more money!
What is a Team?
Team T-Shirt Contest
Design a t-shirt to show your team spirit! If you have a special t-shirt that your team will wear for the race, please send us an example, sample or graphic to the Komen Kansas City office located at 1111 Main Street, Suite 450, Kansas City, MO 64105 for display on Race day at our team t-shirt contest. All t-shirts are due to Komen KC no later than July 31, 2014. The t-shirt that receives the most votes at the Race (in terms of the amount of money raised) will be our winner and honored on our web site. The t-shirt will not be returned. We ask that you please reserve the shirt color pink for our survivor participants.
Team photos will again be available on Race day. Be sure to email our Teams Chairman to schedule your team's photo time and location. Team Photo times are available between 6A and 745A on Race day and locations are as follows:
- Large Teams (>75): Stairs on Kessler
- Medium Teams: (25 to 75): Flag Poles
- Small Teams: Komen banners east of finish line
- July 30, 2014 Mail in Registration Deadline
- July 31, 2014 Team T-shirt Contest Entries Due
- August 1, 2014 (9P) Teams Online Registration Deadline
