NEW YORK -- “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” is joining forces with news teams from across the country for a special edition of the game show called “Play It Forward,” airing November 28 – December 2. All week, Millionaire will feature news teams as contestants, as they try to win $1-million for a designated charity in their market.
JiaoJiao Shen and Brett Anthony from NBC Action News Today will travel to Millionaire’s NYC-based studios next week and will tape their episode of the game show on
Wednesday, October 19. Locally, Millionaire can be seen in the Kansas City area on KSHB-TV weekdays at 3:30pm.
Shen and Anthony will play the game as a two-person team and will be able to discuss the questions and possible answers with each other before deciding on one Final Answer to give host Meredith Vieira. The duo will donate their winnings to Susan G. Komen For The Cure Greater Kansas City.

“Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” with host Meredith Vieira premiered its tenth season in syndication on Monday, September 5. Vieira has hosted the daytime version of Millionaire since the show debuted in 2002. She is a multi Emmy Award-winner and has won two Daytime Emmys for her work on Millionaire (2005 and 2009). Throughout her nine seasons on the show, Vieira has hosted over 1,500 episodes and handed out nearly $65 million in winnings to Millionaire contestants. Millionaire is produced by Valleycrest Productions Ltd. and is distributed by Disney-ABC Domestic Television. Rich Sirop is the executive producer.
