Kansas City, MO. - One in eight women in their lifetime will be diagnosed with breast cancer. For women like Dawn who discovered her lump only five days after being laid off from work, they rely on Komen Kansas City grantees for help with screening mammograms and survivorship support. You can help make a difference by becoming a founding member of Club 2-1-8.
The cost of a clinical breast exam and screening mammogram in the Kansas City area is $218. By making a one-time gift of $218 or a monthly pledge of $18.17, you can join Club 2-1-8. Your contributions will support Komen Kansas City grantees like Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center. In the last six months, Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center has found breast cancer in 11 patients. Through a partnership with Truman Medical Center, another Komen Kansas City grantee, they are able to ensure these women get the treatment and support they need to save their lives.
As a way of saying thank you for your support, anyone who becomes a sustaining donor will receive a special code to save $5 off your 2013 Pink Promise Brunch and $5 off your 2013 Race for the Cure registration fees.
