Stephanie Adams Stephanie joined the team from the Black Health Care Coalition, where she worked for 10 years. She wanted to work at Komen because of her experience as a grantee. While working at Black Health Care Coalition, Stephanie saw first-hand how Komen helps thousands of women with diagnosis and treatment each year in this community. It wasn’t until October 2005, when breast cancer hit home for Stephanie and her family. Stephanie’s father was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in his left breast. Stephanie knew then that this disease needs to be stopped for all women, including her daughter, Courtney and her granddaughters. Stephanie's passion is to see that women (and men) are educated on breast health. |
